Mandarin dinner Sat. Jan 23

I realize that it is short notice, but wondered if anyone is interested in going to the Mandarin for dinner on Saturday. Right now, they have a special menu to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year and Mandarin's Chinese Dumpling Festival!
January 18 - February 28, 2010

Kung Hei Fat Choy! Happy Chinese New Year! At Mandarin, you can celebrate the year of the Tiger in grand style. Visit Mandarin and see the spectacle of bright decorations and costumes. And of course, we have special treats for you on our lunch and dinner buffets. From January 18 – February 28, we will offer a variety of tasty dumplings stuffed with shrimp, chicken, pork or beef. Dumplings are traditionally thought to bring wealth and prosperity. You’ll also find other special New Year delicacies on our dessert bar.

Perhaps we can try a different restaurant each month. Experiencing ethnic restaurants has been popular with the Tall Club of Toronto in the past. If anyone has any specific interests and would like to host, please let us know. This goes for any kind of event too. If you have an idea for an event and would like to host, please contact us. Remember, the Tall Club of Toronto is only as good as you the members want to make it.
